Dr. Nikolay Kozhanov is a senior lecturer in the political economy of the Middle East at the School of Economics of the St. Petersburg State University, Russia. From 2006 to 2009, he served as an attaché in the political section of the Russian embassy in Tehran. His second book, <em>Russia’s Relations with Iran: Dialogue without Commitments</em>, was published by the Washington Institute for Near East policy in June 2012.
